Informazioni Utili:

1) PUNTI DI LETTURA VOLTAGGI: (UT X58 T3eH8 / DK X58 T3eH6)



2) VCORE DROOP CONTROL:

- Enable --> Da specifica Intel (0.01-0.03v full-load)
- Disable --> Riduzione del Vdroop (0.00-0.01v full-load)

3) TURBO MODE:

Per sfruttare la funzione Turbo su questa mobo è necessario abilitare anche la funzione EIST (GENIE BIOS --> CPU FEATURES)
Da sistema operativo modificare le impostazioni di risparmio energetico mettendo "Prestazioni Elevate" per avere molti +1X fisso su tutti i 4 core idle/full...(molti 21x su i7 920 / 23x su i7 940 ecc.)...per sfuttare il +2X della funzione Turbo (quindi molti 22x su i7 920 / 24x su i7 940 ecc..) è necessario che sia abilitato 1 solo core (GENIE BIOS --> CPU FEATURES --> ACTIVE PROCESSOR CORE --> 1)
Set VR Current Limit Max = Enable --> disabilita la protezione TDC/TDP che può avere effetti sul Turbo Mode disattivandolo (la si trova sempre in "GENIE BIOS --> CPU FEATURES")...
# TDC = over current protection which default Vcore OCP max is 140A (for CPU PWM IC). At >70A, TDC is tripped, it will disable Turbo mode - thus you may see your cpu multiplier drop by 1x or 2x.
# TDP = thermal design power according to DFI is tripped at around >80W which will also disable Turbo mode
Thermal Management Control: Disabled --> anche questo parametro può avere effetti sul Turbo Mode...disattivandolo se viene raggiunta temp "critica" sul procio...


4) RILEVAMENTO ERRATO QUANTITATIVO RAM:

Se all'avvio notate che viene rilevato la ram in quantità errata rispetto a quella realmente installata (es. 2/4GB anzichè i 6GB presenti)...ciò è dovuto ad un cattivo bilanciamento tra il VDIMM e VTT...basta regolare in modo ottimale questi due voltaggi per risolvere...

5) SLOT DDR3:



- Triple Channel (3 Banchi) --> utilizzare gli slot 2-4-6 (quelli di colore verde)...gli slot 1-3-5 (gialli) funzionano solo se sono popolati i verdi...quindi se mettete li le ram il pc non si avvierà...
- Triple Channel (6 Banchi) --> ovviamente occupare tutti gli slot disponibili...
- Dual Channel (2 Banchi) --> consigliati gli slot 2-4
- Single Channel (1 Banco) --> consigliato lo slot 6
Ottimo sarebbe anche provare le varie "combinazioni" tra i banchi...a volte si recupera qualcosa sia in stabilità che in overclock...

6) VDIMM/VTT:

Importante è che tra questi due voltaggi vi sia una differenza al massimo di 0.5v...oltre si rischia di danneggiare la cpu...fortunatamente da bios il VTT verrà alzato automaticamente all'aumentare del VDIMM...la diff. ottimale è molto influenzata dai chip presenti sulle ram in uso...

7) SOSTITUZIONE/RIMOZIONE EPROM BIOS (UT/DK/JR):

Molto semplice rimuovere l'eprom bios in caso di necessità...a questo link viene spiegata tutta la procedura passo passo...

8) Waterblock MIPS DFI LANParty X58 (Mosfet/NB/SB):

Per chi intende liquidare la sua LANParty con wb "su misura"...qui hanno tutto il necessario...(grazie a DC2/MEGABRUNEZ per la segnalazione)...

- MIPS MCH149 Mosfet Rev2 (ormai tutte rev2...quindi perfettamente compatibile con UT T3eH8 + altre LANParty - esclusa DK X58)


- MIPS MCH013 Southbridge (UT T3eH8/DK T3eH6 + altre LANParty):



- MIPS MCH033 Northbridge (UT T3eH8/DK T3eH6 + altre LANParty):



9) DRAM/VTT PWM Switch (consigliati):

-chip Micron--> Reduce 15%-30% / Nominal
-chip Samsung --> Nominal
-chip Elpida--> Increase 15%-30% / Nominal

10) ADDR/CMD VREF:

Questo parametro è utilile per aumentare la stabilità in condizioni di oc elevato
Da bios (sezione Genie BIOS --> Voltage Setting) impostare "ADDR/CMD VREF Control" su Enabled...e fare delle prove impostando i seguenti valori:
- DIMM 1/2 ADDR/CMD Bus VREF: da 90 a 105 (def 110)
- DIMM 3/4 ADDR/CMD Bus VREF: da 90 a 105 (def 110)
- DIMM 5/6 ADDR/CMD Bus VREF: da 90 a 105 (def 110)

11) Lista Post-Code:

Il Debug Display onboard ci permette tramite una lista di codici di risalire in breve tempo alla causa di eventuali problemi...QUI la lista completa dei postcode con il loro significato...

12) Memory LowGap:

Simile al vecchio AGP Aperture Size...serve per fare in modo che venga riservato spazio di indirizzamento ai dispositivo con elevate quantità di memoria on-board...il valore predefinito da bios è 1536MB...nel caso di config SLI/CF con schede con grandi quantitativi di memoria (ex GTX295 / 4870X2 ecc) aumentare il lowgap a valore >2048MB...
Va considerato che sui o.s. a 32 bit aumentando questo parametro si toglie spazio di indirizzamento per la memoria di sistema...

13) NOTICE !!! DO NOT REMOVE THE HEATPIPE ASSEMBLY FROM THE PWM...:

Removing the heatpipe assembly from the pwm to reappy TIM will most likely result in one or more of the slave chips overheating and burning up. If this happens the warranty will not cover the damage and most likely the board will be beyond repair.

14) Problemi con Mouse/Tastiere USB:

Provare a cambiare la modalità di alimentazione delle USB come da immagine...


15) EXIT Shut Down Mode 1/2:

- Mode1 --> limita i fakeboot a situazioni di oc elevato o cmq a seguito di "pesanti" modifiche ai parametri di cpu/ram ecc...
- Mode2 --> si avrà il comportamento normale del chipset...che prevede sempre il fakeboot a seguito di modifiche su cpu, ram ecc...anche lievi

16) Boot UP BCLK:

Questo parametro aiuta in caso di oc alti di bclk...andrebbe impostato a valore inferiore al bclk e fa in modo che l'avvio avvenga con il valore di boot-up prima di passare a quello del bclk impostato...

17) PCI-E:

- Gli slot PCI-E n°1 e n°4 (i due verdi) sono 16x/16x se non viene utilizzato lo slot giallo (PCI-E n°3)
- Con PCI-E n°3 utilizzato avremo 16x/8x/8x in configurazioni Triple SLi/CFX

Il motivo tecnico non lo so... ha semplicemente smesso di eseguire le procedure di boot di punto in bianco,

comunque mi fu prontamente sostituita dall'assistenza e già da diversi mesi ho su una nuova T3eH8.
