Quando escono ufficialmente i Ryzen +?
Certo che a livello di CPU si compra benissimo, a livello di ram e, soprattutto, GPU, è un disastro.
Chi ha qualcosa di decente se lo tenga

Annunciati per aprile.

Una CPU di adesso uno la prende e gli dura per altri 4 anni (se va con quest'intenzione)

un consiglio, io valuterei di rivendere il tuo 1700 e upgradare ad esempio ad un nuovo 2700, alla fine è la soluzione migliore per rimanere sempre "al passo" e rimetterci meno (il 1700 lo rivendi ancora a buone cifre e quindi dovrai aggiungere relativamente poco per portarti a casa il nuovo modello), tanto qui non è necessario sostituire mobo e ram...

allora in tal caso cercherò di seguire il tuo consiglio magari anche un X...

comunque con il nuovo dissi ho trovato nuovi limiti alla cpu, una volta preso il dissipatore: con 1.4V (non so se tiene anche con meno voltaggio) ho passato il Cinebench R15. Non ho provato stress test... Per il momento lo tengo a 3.75ghz a 1.275v come prima, per 150mhz non ne vale proprio la pena pompare così tanto sulla tensione...

io ho sempre fatto così nel corso degli anni e l'ho sempre considerata la via migliore per non rimanere indietro e allo stesso tempo spendere meno soldi...

salvo particolari sorprese con i nuovi modelli, onestamente rimarrei sui modelli lisci...

p.s. non mi sono dimenticato, domani se riesco ti faccio quelle prove con python anche con il 7800X...

il mio è solo un consiglio, poi tocca a te decidere quale sia la cosa migliore da fare...
io ho sempre fatto così nel corso degli anni e l'ho sempre considerata la via migliore per non rimanere indietro e allo stesso tempo spendere meno soldi...

Vabbè valuterò, negli ultimi mesi sono stato abbastanza curioso di provare hardware (specie con le schede video LOL), magari mi passa e mi scoccio a fare cambi

comunque fai con tutta la calma che vuoi, senza impegno, era giusto per farmi un'idea. più che altro avrei voluto provare a spremere meglio il mio (visto che usando numpy "ottimizzato" utilizzavo metà dei thread), però non sto nemmeno avendo tempo per fare questo...

mannaggia 1-2gg persi sulla procedura di invio del Boot Kit, mi avevano risposto già sabato richiedendo le foto della cpu/box e le eventuali copie delle comunicazioni con il produttore della mobo, ma era finito in SPAM...

ora ho inviato tutto il necessario e dopo mezz'ora mi hanno confermato via mail

"Your boot kit request has been approved and we are processing this through our standard RMA system.

You should have received the RMA number and confirmation details in a separate email by now.

Please note: Your RMA will be for your boot kit model number and not for your Ryzen APU.

Once you have received the boot kit, please install the boot kit processor onto your motherboard and boot up the system to begin the BIOS update procedure.

The latest BIOS is available for download from the motherboard manufacturer’s website. You may save the BIOS onto a USB flash drive using another PC or download directly onto the current system after the operating system has been successfully installed and configured.

With the latest BIOS file downloaded and saved, please follow the motherboard BIOS update instructions. These instructions are available online from the manufacturer’s website or found in the user manual.

After the BIOS update is complete, please swap out the boot kit processor with your new Ryzen APU and confirm that the system is now booting up successfully.

Once you have confirmed that your Ryzen APU is working on your motherboard, please send your boot kit back to AMD following the instructions below.

Book Kit Return Shipping Instructions

Please securely package the boot kit CPU in the box it came in with the RMA number and return shipping address clearly written on the outside of the box.

Note: Please keep the heatsink and fan as it is not required to send this back to AMD but be advised that this heatsink is not compatible with your Ryzen APU."

A proposito : per quest'anno sono previsti i Coffe-X o Coffe-E?

stando alle ultime notizie a fine 2018 (Q4) dovrebbero presentare le nuove soluzioni HEDT Cascade Lake-X (che prenderanno il posto degli attuali Skylake-X e dei quasi del tutto inutili Kaby Lake-X)...

non ci sono ancora dettagli sul numero di core dei nuovi modelli, è possibile che la line-up partirà dall'octa e non più dall'esa come ora...

si senza dubbio, se rispondevo subito alle loro richieste probabilmente accettavano e spedivano già ieri...

ah dimenticavo, nel mio caso ho semplicemente risposto alla loro mail inviando un paio di foto della confezione e dell'APU, non ho incluso copia delle comunicazioni con il produttore della scheda madre poichè non ho contattato il produttore (gli ho semplicemente scritto che sarebbe stato completamente inutile farlo dal momento che oltre che rispondermi che il BIOS compatibile lo hanno rilasciato ed è liberamente scaricabile non avrebbero fatto, ma non me ne sarei potuto fare nulla dal momento che la mobo in mio possesso non implementa funzionalità di aggiornamento del BIOS in assenza di un processore compatibile)...
