INSTRUCTIONS
BIOS updating can be accomplished VIA one of the below methods:


CD Method (Blank CD and CD Rewritable Drive Required)
- Download the following .iso file: E760_S61J.iso.
- Use CD Burning software to burn the .iso image onto a blank CD (Nero, Alochol 120%, MagicISO etc.).
- After it has burned, insert CD and restart the machine, go into the BIOS and load defaults, save and exit.
- Now set the CD Drive as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select CD as the bootable device.
- After flash remove the CD, and power off PC Completely.
- Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS
USB FLOPPY (Floppy Disk and Disk Drive Required)
- Download the following executable:E760_S61J.exe .
- Insert blank floppy disk into drive and run executable.
- Now set the USB Floppy as the primary boot device, or press escape while the system is booting to select USB Floppy as the bootable device.
- After flash remove the floppy, power off PC Completely.
- Turn on the PC and load defaults in BIOS.

Rendere Bootable la Pendrive USB:

Scaricare l'HP Usb Storage Format Tool v2.1.8 free download e Win98boot.zip

Scompattate il .rar dov'è contenuta l'Utility HP e installatela..
Una volta installata cliccate con il tasto destro e aprite come amministratore.

Ora scompattate anche l'archivio di destinazione "win98boot" e incollatelo sul desktop (lo potete incollare dove volete non è importante).

Torniamo al programmino HP, mettete la spunta su: "Quick Format", "Create a DOS startup disk" e "using DOS system files located at:".



Ora gli dovete far "vedere" la cartella di destinazione : "win98boot".



Come compare questo messaggio date la conferma.





Ora la vostra chiavetta USB è pronta all'uso



Se volete flashare il bios inserite nella pendrive l'AWDFLASH e il BIOS.bin. e via con lo shut down..
Cosa importantissima.. mi raccomando prima del flash fate un cmos !!!!
Ora dopo il cmos avviate il pc e premete "esc".. ora vi trovate davanti ad una schermata nera con delle scritte che termina in "C:/", ora subito dopo scrivete : AWDFLASH (spazio) NOMEBIOS.bin (es: AWDFLASH E760S61J.bin), vi chiederà se volete salvare il vecchio bios, confermate e aspettate che il flash sia andato a buon fine..
Premete F1 per riavviare..

Molti di voi avranno notato che al primo avvio il Display Code della mobo (E760) non rimane fisso su FF...
Se anche voi avete questo "problema" basta che disabilitate la voce "P80 Show CPU Temp"

NB: Sulla mia mobo il CPU VTT Droppa in positivo da Tester a Software di 0.07v in IDLE e di 0.10v sotto stress mentre gli altri voltaggi "solo" di 0.01v (sempre in positivo).. questa cosa l'ho notata anche su altri thread e test online su praticamente tutte le classified.

Se il mio sistema è stabile non è detto che lo sia anche il vostro.. allego questa guida affinchè riusciate ad individuare il problema dei famosi BSOD

NB: Se in OC Windows vi da l'errore Kernel-Processor-Power (Event 35):
Performance power management features on processor 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
Provate ad abilitare l'Intel Speed Step !
Capita anche di avete strani riavvii, bsod, ecc (o comunque degli errori inerenti al firmware..).
Se avete dei dubbi potete controllare gli errori andando su "Run" (Esegui/Start+R), eventvwr.

No, sinceramente mi trovo benissimo con il S61J e non ho sentito il bisogno di cambiare.. credo che i successivi migliorino con gli esacore cmq come ho un po di tempo li provo, ora sto senza vga sul pc1 e lo lascio spento in attesa delle nuove "rosse"
Comunque sta mobo è veramente una bomba.. una cosa, ma hai notato se eleet e gli altri software droppano di quasi 0.10v in positivo rispetto al tester/bios? Vedento le altre rece giro pare normale.. pensavo che era il sensore della mia mobo che straniva, 0.10v sotto stress è brutto a vederlo e pare che lo hanno tutti in rete sto problema ..confermi pure te la stessa cosa?

Finchè v reali sono meno c'è sempre poco da preoccuparsi.. se era il contrario era un'altro paio di maniche

come lo intendi sotto stress? ho fatto una prova con ibt al volo è ho riscontrato un discostamento massimo dal valore impostato molto al di sotto di 0.10v
